Well I'm finally taking on some new projects with this car and figured it would be fun to start my own build thread. I will try to keep it updated with pictures as I go along this fall/ winter.
My main project right now is installing a Vortech V2 supercharger and some supporting mods to go along with it. Goal is 400-420 rwhp.
The vortech V2 will be supported by a larger spearco intercooler.
600 cc injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Smaller 3.12 pulley (Original is 3.33)
UTEC EMS
HKS bypass valve
APH in Toronto will probably be doing the tuning for me.
I will need a new clutch/ light weight flywheel to hold the increased output with this set up, and am still deciding on which combo to go with.
I'm also still deciding on test pipes and gauges.
Parts for this are accumulating in my garage and I will probably get started with it pretty soon. Apparently the instal is pretty easy, but I will probably be asking for advice as I move along as I want to do it myself for the experience.
Already on the car are:
Body:
Nismo V2 replica front
Nismo V2 replica sides
Ings +1 Nspec rear
Blitz replica spoiler
small things like rear wiper/ nozzle delete, tint, 06 tails, antenna etc.
Wheels/ Tires/ Suspension:
18" Enkei RPF1 matte black with Hankook RS3 (track)
19" Volk Racing GT-V silver with Hankook V12 evo and ToyoT1R
Eibach ProKit lowering springs.
SPC camber arms
stock everything else.
Brakes:
Stoptech cross drilled rotors (probably a bad idea in retrospect)
Hawk HP+ pads
Motul RBF600
SS lines
Engine:
06 airbox with velocity stacker and K&N filter
Motordyne 5/16 iso thermal plenum spacer
HKS Hi-Power true dual exhaust
Osiris Uprev dyno tune.
On the possible list as well are BBK, & coilovers. But I'm really trying not to let this build get out of control. Everytime I see the car I can't help but think I am ending up with a far less valuable, less reliable, but slightly more unique Corvette C6.
Day I got her in 2004.

As it sits now.

To save money I took a chance and bought a used kit from JDS motoring in NJ. FS thread can be seen here. Parts are still arriving and I hope to be underway as soon as everything is complete.

Hey man, Good luck with your install. I did the same thing to my Z over winter, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
The actual install of the kit is straight forward, drilling and tapping the upper oil pan for the drain line with the engine in the car may be tricky. I had the engine out when I did mine, so I'm not too sure on that part.
As for clutch, I decided to go with Competition stage 5(sprung disk) and an Unorthodox racing flywheel. I'm VERY pleased with both!

I just did this install in July. I think I ran into every problem in the book and then some nobody ever thought. If you need a hand or have some questions feel free to ask. A simple install turned into a 2 week nightmare. I had to express ship parts from the states, cracked my timing cover among a few other issues.
Also if you need a UTEC I will probably be selling mine and upgrading to a haltech over the winter. It will be tuned for 650cc injectors, 3.12 vortech pully, kinetix SSV intake, headers, test pipes and HKS copy exhaust.
