Fellow forum members. I was the victim of a hit and run at 130 am on Nov 13. My car was parked on Roselawn at Yonge and I have substantial damage on the drivers side door and rear quarter panel. I believe a Land Rover (I found parts of a red reflector) backed into my car some time between 8pm Sat and 1:30am Sunday.

Please let me know if you have any ideas to find this guy. I don't have comprehensive coverage so this one is coming out of my pocket.

the rear quarter is part of the frame....you're gonna have to get a shop to hammer it back out...

 

post pics, if the 1/4 panel is bad enough it will have to be cut out and a new one will need to be welded in.

As noodleman said these cars are Unibody. Meaning the body IS the frame in so many words. Unless it's a car like the BMW Z4 that has sheet metal over top of another piece of metal, you're SOL.

But, you own a Z and don't have full coverage? AND you live in Toronto?

Also you would be amazed how many cameras are around toronto.... I would start walk around that area and knock on doors. Dont bother with police they wont help

 

Sucks man. Don't know what's wrong with people these days.

Have had this happen a few times across different cars now, not to mention countless careless door dents. I've even had someone hit my door with me in the car while I'm looking right at them, and they tried to walk away despite me getting out of the car and confronting them.

Look for camera's.

God help the next person I catch. Either cash in hand, kicked in body panels, or heads, their choice.
