Default can anybody recomend a good lawyer

I am in china and my GF just emailed me pictures of my car. It just got towed from the body shop I was having my body kit installed and the car repainted at. I can't even begin to explain what happened but I promise there will be a full write up about it with pictures when I get a chance

Call the ABA, or whatever version of it is in Canada. Advise them of the situation and they'll give you a list to contact.

Car got towed from the body shop because it is getting towed to a mechanic to have the clutch replaced. I had ordered a new twin disc clutch for my car at the end of the summer for my build and it arrived late; in october right after I came to china for work.

My plan was to drive my car to the mechanic to have the clutch installed after it left the body shop when I was supposed to be home Nov 23rd. I ended up having to stay in china longer because my replacement lost his passport so my best friend was going to pick it up for me and bring it to the mechanic.

The day before he was supposed to go and pick it up for me I get an email from the owner of the body shop saying "we tried to move your car in to the bay to do one last clean on it before it was picked up and it wouldn't move". After several emails it appears my current clutch has completely failed and that is why it got towed on a flatbed to the mechanics where my girlfriend, the tow truck driver and the mechanics all inspected the car in horror.

My legal issues have nothing to do with the clutch as I was planning on replacing it anyways but the hack job he did to my car.

Ouch is right.. Op should have taken it to ^this shop....

OP,
You should start searching for proper representation, online. Find a litigator who is familiar with the automotive industry. Ideally, one who actively works on similar suits.
-I forget the url, but there is a website that lists all Ontario firms and relative expertise.

GL!

*Which shop was this?*

Thank you. I am currently looking for legal representation online. I have spoke via email with the shop owner who has agreed in email to fix everything. I am still going to speak with a lawyer regarding this when I get home, as well as get quotes from other shops as to what they would charge to fix this and to see if they pick up on anything I may have missed.

I will post the name of the shop when I write my review about it on here with photographs. All I will say now is I spent several months looking for a body shop and had both seen previous work done by this shop and had people recommend them so this is all a complete shock.

Unless you're in Quebec, lawyers in Canadia are "Barristers" or "Solicitors".
