Cost to Rebuild and Powder Coat Brembo Calipers
Anyone have an idea what I would expect to pay to have 4 Brembo calipers rebuilt and powder coated? Does anyone local do this?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Rebuild them yourself (it's easy off the car)...
You need:
1x Front kit
http://www.nissanraceshop.com/produc...ont-4112012u25
2x Rear kit
http://www.nissanraceshop.com/produc...ear-4412012u25
1x Powder Coat
Powder coating, lots of places do it... prices are probably $150-$200
If you don't want to do it and would rather pay someone I would even do it for you (I'm up in Barrie though). Just whatever you do, don't brake the bleeder screws... they're somehow $107 a piece!

Welcome! If it wasn't for 2TH Power and his track build I probably wouldn't still be lurking these forums since I sold my Z.
What colour are you going to Powder Coat them? My front Brembo's had transformed to the "pooh brown" colour from excessive heat they experienced on track days... it doesn't sound like a nice colour but it ended up complimenting the Chrome Silver car quite well... I'll try to dig up a photo.

As it stands right now I'm interested in buying some Used Brembo Calipers from another member. From the pics they look a bit beat up and need to be rebuilt. My plan if I purchase them is to powder coat them red.
I'm also considering picking up a new 370z Nismo 40th Anniversary Akebono BBK. The calipers are red.

i didn't like the look of the gold brembos on my car, so i repainted them red with spay cans. VHT high heat caliper paint. i took me FOREVER but i was super happy with the results.

photobucket lowered the quality of the pics so they don't look as crisp on here as in person, everyone that has seen them thought they were professionaly done.
again it was one of my projects that i did to save money but ended up take like 3 times as long as i thought it would. total i think was 25 hours including re and re.
this was a year and a half ago but as far i as remember.
2 hour to remove
4 hour to clean
10 hours to sand
1 hour to clean
1 hour for taping
2 hours for painting
3 hours to reinstall

those do look pretty good. When I bought mine they had already had the finish removed. I need a rebuild kit for sure because all the pistons were removed to strip them. It will be a little more work then these for sure. But I am looking forward to doing it.
