Default Canadian, specifically Ontario Insurance Rates

Hello,
This is a question for my Zed owning Ontarian freinds. How hold are you, where do you live and how much are you paying for insurance? I'll be turning 25 this July, and I'm hot for the Zed. I just want to get an idea on how badly I'm going to be raped. Thanks in advance!!

it's actually not too bad right now cus there's still lack of statistics. wait another coupla years and your rates will skyrocket.

I don't know about that. Although, Canadian Insurance companies must set rates as per Canadian Information and Statistics, last year a rate for me on a 2003 Eclipse (brand new to Canada that year) was aweful. It was more than the car payment, and my record is spotless.

What are you paying?

I'm paying $3300. Also under 25, but female, I'm sure that makes a difference.

I'm surprised at the difference between Dustin and Blackie. I would think that the age difference would be countered by the sex and they would pay about the same. I'm 27 and in the GTA, but I'm under a company. I wonder if it really is that much more to get insured in Toronto then Ottawa.
Or, maybe Blackie has just been a bad girl and gotten too many tickets / accidents .

$1,483.00 is the exact price.

My quote i got earlier was wrong...$1,600.

I got my insurance today and it was a nice suprise to be even lower.

27 male, no tickets or accidents.
