I think it would be a good idea if we can share our experiences in the quality of service of each dealer.
I'll start with my horrible experience at 401&Dixie Nissan. I was there yesterday trying to get a replacement key and have all my keys reprogrammed since i damaged one of my original keys beyond repair. I walked into the service department and the gentlemen at the counter(forgot his name) took care of me pretty well. Up to this point my impression of this particular dealer was really good. So i waited for about an hour and finally got my new key and when i got home i noticed the new key was not cut like the factory one(the edges were really rough and bumpy) so i tried it out and found out that the new key was not going into the ignition smoothly and was really difficult to turn as well as taking it out. I brought the key back to 401&Dixie right away and the gentlemen at the counter apologized and told me to hold on. He comes back 2 min later with the so called "technician" that worked on my car(I think his name was Nick) This guy asked my what the problem was as we start walking back to my car and i told him, he then takes the new key and scrapes it against a handrail for a while as though he was trying to smooth it out
. Then he proceeds to go back to my car and decided that he would smooth out the key some more by rigorously shoving and pulling the key in and out of the ignition for like a min. at this point i was pissed out of my mind
. I honestly can't believe how they handled the situation, I mean this is a $53k car for god sakes.
Anyhow, I just wanna give fellow Z owners a heads up. I know for sure I won't be going back there for anything, after seeing how well they take care of their customer's car. I mean if they're already doing that in front of my face, i really can't imagine what goes on when i'm not there.

I went to Agincourt...at McCowan and Finch I think. No problems yet, but their lift wasn't low enough, they barely got my car on the hoest with out damaging the body kit. Any of your dealerships with drive over bays or lifts with super low profiles? I know the ones that lifts with a single piston from the middle are low profile, but can't find a dealership with that contraption yet.
I've had poor experiences with both Avenue Nissan and my home dealership (Sherway or Sheridan in Nissan, can't remember the name). They both gave me the runaround regarding my seat rocking and a rear axle squeak and treated me like I was crazy. I don't know why dealerships think that anyone would prefer to waste half a day at a dealership, while giving up the use of their car, without having a legitimate complaint.
Anyway, I've since gone to Downtown Nissan (on Adelaide where Downtown BMW used to be) and they are much, much better. I've been dealing with Frank Santelli, one of the Service Manager's, and he has been excellent. Needless to say, I've had my seat rocking and squeaking brakes fixed.
Cheers,
Sherman

Thanks for the input guys and gals. I think it's really important to be able to distinguish the good dealers from the bad ones. None of these dealerships should ever be able to get away with their poor service. On the other hand, whenever you come across a good dealership, I would appreciate it if you could share it with the rest of us.
Hey Darren, you know rich(xplosiv) from S2KI right? you know the guy that talks mad shiet? lol j/k. I should've went to you when i was looking at the car, instead of having that other guy( forgot his name) dic$ing me around trying to rip me off. I ended up getting the car from Dermac cuz that dude really pissed me off.

Yes that's the guy! He was the one that greeted me on my first visit. At the time he seemed really friendly and legit but unfortunately he turned out to be another weasel. Don't worry Darren if i ever buy a another Nissan(hopefully a GTR) you know you'll get my business.
As I suggested in my earlier post, Downtown Nissan should be able to help you. Either Service Manager is good, but I personally dealt with Frank Santelli (416) 865-1880.
Hope that helps,
Sherman

My experience with Downtown Nissan has been excellent as well. Frank was a real treat to deal with after my horrible experiences with the knuckleheads at Agincourt.
Does anyone know if Downtown is offering aftermarket goodies, and how they are with mods vs. warranties?

well...i tried Woodchester Nissan in Mississauga too, better customer service but they refused to fix my rear-axle clicking noise problem due to my aftermarket suspension.

A follow up to my previous post:
I went back to 401&Dixie about a month after. But this time I asked to speak to the manager and he had my key filed more and now it's actually usable, though still not perfect. I think the main problem with them is that jackass technian Nick.
