Default Will these N/A mods make me run lean???

Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned about running lean with the following mods without the TS ECU re-flash? My Z is an '05 model so I'm not sure if TS has a re-flash available yet.

I was told that I shouldn't be concerned with the listed N/A mods. FYI, I don't plan on running a dyno to monitor A/F. Just wanted some basic input from people with knowledge, or who've dynoed with similar mods.

-Fujitsubo Legalis-R exhaust
-Fujitsubo y-pipe
-DC SS headers
-Kinetix resonated test pipes
-Injen CAI

Probably, it all depends where you start from, all Z's seem to be a little different, have you dynoed yet to see what your AF is right now?

I was running around 12 before and ended up at 13 with similar mods minus the headers. But I have seen some at 14 already without many mods, I would suggest a base dyno.

I would like to get the TS re-flash, but I don't think it's available for the '05 models

No I haven't had the chance to dyno yet to monitor A/F. My Z is very young at 1,100 miles and I'm modding at such a quick rate that the concern of running lean caught up with me. Without a re-flash, do you think that the listed mods would be safe? I don't want a blown engine.

Lots of people run those mods without any ecu upgrade. I think your safe (unless you already have a modified ecu?).

the short answer is there is absolutely no way to know how your car will react until you install the mods, hook a wideband and a datalogger up and do some runs on the street. Some cars will run lean, some will run very rich...cars are like fingerprints guys and no 2 tend to be identical.

The only way you will know for sure is to get some A/F readings. I agree with Adam, get a wideband installed so you can log the numbers. This will give you some assurance now and down the road with other mods. A dyno will help you know at this time with those mods. I don't think there has been enough info and experience with the 05 model ECU out there yet to know how it will react to mods. Even then, these engines and ECUs all respond a bit different to mods and we are all in differing climates and elevations. So many factors to take into accout.

You should dyno to see where you are at. I have similar mods and seem to be running fine without the ECU flash. Here's my AF readings:

I may do an ECU reflash when one is available to see if I get even better performance, but the 04 ECU flash isnt out yet, so dont expect the 05 flash any time soon.

Thanks for all the input. I'll head out for a dyno run and see what my A/F is reading.

Too bad that the '05, let alone the '04 TS re-flash isn't available yet. Technosquare is like a 10 minute drive away from where I live.

Say I get a A/F and it turns out I'm running lean. Without the ECU re-flash, do I have any other options?

I dont know of anyone or heard of anyone with those mods that have had a problem. Only problems I know of have been with FI cars.

Its not possible for you to have a blown engine from the aforementioned mods.

If you are running lean, then see what progress Altered Atmosphere is making.
