The gear works fine without an upgraded LSD. You can have it installed for about $450-550 bucks. So you are looking at $1400.

The $2250 is a complete pumpkin assembled with the 3.9 and a Nismo LSD. Its a core swap. All you have to do then is have the pumpkin swapped out which is about 1.5 hours labor and ship us back your old pumpkin. The pumpkins we use in the core swap come with all new bearings crush sleeves, pinion nut, and seals.
We can even install a Nismo finned cover on it at an extra charge.
By offering this setup....we take care of all the hard work on the install by making sure the backlash , and any bearing shimming are done correctly.
Any ? let me know.

Cheers

I have the evo 3.9 gears and the tilton street clutch among a lot of other power mods.

The car is FUN to drive on the highway. 5th and 6th gear have some ***** to them when going around 80mph. If I'm ever going 70, I can always throw it into 4th and it just flys until it reaches about 80-85 or so where it's time to shift.

How often do you drive 160mph? I'd rather have a lot more power where it's useful so that's why I got it.

Agreed! Group buy time! 3.9 is a must have item. I say group buy on the 350 evo ss from what ive heard the 350 evo will make your car faster than the roque, or the nismo/mossy.

So whos in? Who has any money? damn!

which product are you talking about having a group buy for? The 3.9 final drive, or the short shifter?

If you are talking about the final drive, I would consider it, but it would have to be after the New Year. money is tight right now because of the holidays. I think you will find a lot of people in similar situations as me because of the holidays. Its a tough time of year to be dishing out money on your car. *cough* especially when you just bought Crawford high flow cats

if your changing the gears on a auto i'm pretty sure you need to swap the LSD also... might be easier to get a new pumpkin all together

I'll be getting the 3.9 and Nismo LSD for Christmas but I'm trying to figure if it's more economical to get the pumpkin already assembled or have the dealer do the install.

No. That's if I buy the ring and pinon gear with the LSD and all the shimms and have the dealer do the entire install. If I buy the pumpkin already assembled, a buddy and myself could put it in. I just wanted to get an idea of labor vs. buying one already put together. This way I don't have to pay a core charge either.

$849 for the ring and pinion. Look under drivetrain at 350EVO.com.
