We worked on this gearing for awhile and it the closest thing to a 4.0 we could get. We can do custom ring and pinions but it will take 4 - 6 weeks and be in the $2500 range for a one off set. There are some critical measurements that need to be calculated when doing a ring and pinion.

BJ can you post a bigger picture.

That one is too small on 1600 x 1200. I need to get my magnifying glass out.

two things:
1) ditto on the bigger picture
and 2) sorry for not knowing much about transmissions, but can someone interpret the graph a little?

I've read some really good stuff about the 3.9 final drive so far. From the little I know about transmissions, increasing the final drive increases acceleration at the cost of top speed, while decreasing the final drive will give you a higher top speed at the cost of acceleration? Is this correct?

And then, I guess the graph is illustrating this?

Y'all need to install Mozilla FireFox and the Image Zoom plugin.

While we're at it, the moderator(s) should
change the way image attachments are downloaded.

Guess I am the only one that doesn't see it as you all do.. If you look at the 4k rpm in 4th it says that the 3.9 is going at 60mph and the OEM would be at 70mph..Nothing about acceleration in the data is inferred..What am I missing here..? Are the colors reversed?

Its actually 61 MPH with the 3.9 and 68 mph with the 3.5 at 4000 RPM in 4th gear. I wish I could post a little bigger with better quality

Here's a interpretation of the info. ;-)

This is my car before and after the 3.9. (Plus the Tilton flywheel)
But you can see that the hp curve is shifted over to the left so
that at any give speed when you tromp the pedal, you will
have more power to draw on because rpms are higher. I lost
about 15mph in 5th gear. Thank Nissan for 6 speeds!

Seems this kit will benefit road course racing (REAL racing jk) more than it would the drag racer.

20rwhp? Those are impressive numbers.
Im starting to think maybe that $2250 is worth it.
Im just so broke right now that I can think whatever I want and it wouldnt really change anything

I checked the 350Evo website, and it said 2250 w/ a Nismo limited slip differential included.
Damn, if its only 850 I'd definately get it.

Economics at its best . . . supply & demand

There's so many Mustangs and aftermarket manufacturers that parts are relatively inexpensive when compared to ours.

I'm on the fence line since its a great product, but at a premium price. BUT, they did do the hard work to develop it, so it should pay dividends (its such a toss-up).
