Default 350 EVO Throttle Body

Is the 350 EVO Throttle Body worth getting? What would the hp/torque gains be with a 350 EVO Throttle Body? I plan on putting on Kinetix v4 plenum, Kinetix hi-flow cats, TopSpeed headers, TopSpeed y-pipe, TopSpeed exhaust, JWT PopCharger, and TechnoSquare ECU Reflash on my car. Some of these parts are already on my car, some in my closet, and two waiting to order. Will the 350 EVO Throttle Body be smart to get so that is can work with these as well?

i think it would be worth it since you are getting the reflash.

I have one

I had the TS reflash beforehand and told them I'm going to be getting one so they told me to just add it and my A/F ratio would still be alright.

Anyway, I guess it helps a little, but I don't think in a blind drive test you'd tell the difference

Another thing, they don't bore it ALL the way thru. The 1st half of it is bored, but the 2nd half I'm pretty sure is stock diameter. I measured it. The blade is different though - supposivly lighter, but if it is, probably just barely so. The blade is nice and shiney while the stock one I don't think is polished.

I can't say it's worth it all that much, but I'm sure it does help ever so slightly

I was looking into getting one too. I figured, whats the point of having an upgraded plenum and intake if you have a stock throttle body restricting them where they join up.

You are making a big assumption that the stock throttle body is a choke point. I would be on a N/A Z with normal bolt ons, the stock TB is not a choke point.

I'd be very interested in reading more on this TB. I know rick did this, on his car, and he liked it but he was waiting for a dyno tune session. I am wondering has anyone done this without doing a reflash? Post up some more info.....

I didn't do a dyno session before and after the install, but I was running lean (14.1 to 14.5). I am not sure if this is the reason however.

I remember hearing that there are NO noticiable gains with installing the EVO throttlebody. You might see something if you are running FI, but still even then, it won't be much. It is not worth the price. You would be better off getting a throttlebody off of an FX45 which is significantly larger than the honed out EVO throttle body.

What about the Titan or Armada throttle body? I think they are electronic as well.
