A/F question
Please excuse my ignorance, but I have a question on the 350's a/f ratios. I have read that it is tuned fairly lean from the factory, and I am concerned about running the car in a lean state.
My first question concerns my mods and the effect the play on that ratio. I have a JWT pop, Crawford Plenum, Test Pipes, and Borla exhaust should I be concerned, and re-flash the ECU now, or should I just wait until I go FI when I will have to do it anyway.
My second question concerns what role the octane of the fuel will play in the a/f ratio. I am military so I always have 93 octane available. Thanks.

I think it depends how long before you go F/I . If its going to be a year...yes I would....I hope they have gotten a little better at the flashed though . My first flash was to rich for N/A ....12.5 A/F ... IMO....As far as your second ? I cant help there...but higher octane never hurts

#2 Octance is a measure of the antiknock properties of gasoline. Lower the octane the more potential for knock. Raise the octance, lower the potential for knock and it offers the ability to run a leaner mixture for more power. NA can always run leaner then FI.
