Best Mods for the Money
I realize that this has probably been asked a thousand times....but.....Here's the situation. I am looking for the best mod for the money. I want more power but dont want to spend more than 5-600 dollars or, most importantly, void my warranty. What is out there that will give me a little more power. I already have the Stillen SS Exhaust and the AEM cai. Thanks!!!
One more note. Does anyone know about getting an X-Pipe for the Z. I dont know anything about this exhaust system but love the way that X-Pipes sound on some other cars. thanks again.

hmm...stillen has x pipe. i thought so. i discovered this while researching earlier this afternoon. i bought the car with the exhaust already installed. i had no idea. so, with that said, would high flow cats be an option for me? are headers not a good power improvement? also, does the pulley not void the warranty? thanks again for your input.
Yes, high flow cats or test/race pipes are an option. I believe ALL exhaust systems for the 350Z go only to where the stock cat connects to the rest of the exhaust (cat-back).
My recommendations are:
1.) Nexus/Alphawerks Headers (over 15hp and 10tq gain with other mods)
2.) La Bree or Unlimited Tuning or Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes
3.) Unorthodox Racing Pulley Kit (I believe it includes a U.R. belt in it)
4.) Z-Extreme.com Grounding Kit
5.) Crawford Intake Plenum
Choose whichever of those that will fit in your budget.

And, consider getting rid of the AEM and replacing it with a JWT Popcharger. There are airflow issues due to the twisted lengthy piping with the AEM per Crawford and other noted forum members.
Does the pocharger actuallyt improve anything when compared to the stock intake? I heard rom someone that they actally felt like they lost some HP. Whats the lowest price on one?
This thread comes up about once every 3 weeks.
cats/test pipes
plenum
pulley
nitrous
are probably the BEST mods for the money
popcharger is a good one too, but you'll hear it more than feel it
two mods that make a big difference too, but need to have their pros and cons carefully weighed are the 3.91 final drive and a lighter clutch/flywheel
