Per Sentry 65

"On the dyno, there's an exhaust sniffer used to get A/F readings

But I also have a wideband O2 bung before my cats.

which should you use to tune A/F and what would the difference in readings be between the two?"

Jeff Hartman's book EMS's says between .3 and .5 delta (lower) between sniffer and what at the cat's. That of course assumes a good calibrated sniffer..

Ok so if I understand that correctly my A/F ratio is going to be a leaner number before the cats than at the end of the exhaust?

which one should you use to tune? The one before the cats I assume?

The injector duty wouldn't need to be adjusted for a nitrous shot with a proper wet kit. Wet kits spray extra fuel along with the nitrous.

I understand nitrous wet kits are somewhat self contained as far as the A/F.

I'm just not sure of the HP limitation of the stock injectors like if you were doing tons of NA stuff, at which point would you consider new injectors?

you should be fine on stock injectors with a wet kit - might want to look into a higher flowing pump though to be on the safe side with the NOS hits

I just had to send back my 04 350z ecu to Ts because the first reflash didn't work very well. Should I still have alot of Black Caron biuld-up on the ends of my exhaust after this reflash? My mods are:
JWT Pop Charger
nismo R-tuned headers
ultimate cats
borla true duel exhaust
ur pullies

I should have my ecu back today and hopefully it will be right..

Screaminz,

Did you do a dyno before you sent the ECU for reflash? Were you having A/F problems? I have similar mods and never sent my ECU for reflash since my A/F was fine, and I wanted to wait until others tried it first.

No I did not dyno the car before the reflash but they did have a car in CA with the same mods as me so thats the map I got the first time around. Tomorrow I'm going to Z1-motoring to have it dynoed..

Hey Sentry, where in AZ did u go to dyno your Z?
I went to Arizona Dyno Chip 2 months ago with my bone stock Z and did a baseline dyno and the A/F ratio was lean as ****.
Hope everything works out for you.
Oh btw, got a few questions for you, check you PM.

here's my dyno

really dissappointed with these numbers

these are my original 3 dynos with horrible A/F

and 2 new dynos after TS adjusted my A/F - still not that great, but at least my engine wasn't detonating this time...

I'm just going to get the greddy emanage - obviously this is going to take forever having TS try to blindly adjust things

My check engine light came on again this morning - probably the same misfiring code as always - maybe I should go back to stock ECU or get a whole different one or something...

I should have a lot more power than 257rwhp with my mods
