I went about 148 racing an Evo 8 back from our local 1/8mi drag strip. On the track I saw him pull a 9.2, while I only pulled a 9.4. (I have bald stock tires)
On the highway was a waaaaaaaaayyyyy different story. I beat him by many car lengths... twice, after dropping down into only 4th at about 85mph.
I guess Evo8's were designed for racing from a dead stop. That probably means, though that I might have been able to beat him on the strip if we had a 1/4mi.

I saw a video once of a Ferarri hitting 203 mph out in Arizona during the 2003 coast to coast run (forgot the name of the event). The passenger was filming the digital speedo
pretty impressive.
