Some of you guys are ridiculous.... the only reason I got Kuwano to send me a few of the new DPS boxes is so that I can open them up.... NOT to try to prove that DPS is a wonderful product. They don't know that I know what's inside.

 

Igor, how can they not know you that know whats on the inside of the DPS. You used to sell the DPS over at AF as the offical retailer. After this was shown to be a scam, you had said you were going to contact them and then send all units back, refund customers, etc. After all this transpired and thery were contacted, their website was even changed and erased. The DPS site was easred, units where shipped back, poeple supposedly refuned by you. They HAVE to have a clue you know something. After all, you were the "offical north american distributor" before, and all of a sudden after it's discovered that it was a scam, you stop selling it, issue refunds, send them the units back and cancel bussiness ties. That right their would seem to tell them you know something, even if you didn't tell them directly.

If you really only received them to "take apart to see what was on the inside" it would have made sense to say that in the frist place, instead of saying "I got Kuwano (the manufacturer of the DPS in Japan) to send me a few of their new DPSs to try out. They said it should be at my door steps this week - fun fun fun!!!"

That review there doesn't scream of "I am going to take it apart, see whats on the inside this time and post it the un-baised facts."

Anyways, enough on that I guess. As I said earlier, unbaised 3rd party testing, like Jessie did before and offered to do again. I would listen to that, and I suspect others would too. He never tried to sell it before, so he has no reasont o beef or lie. He was honest and un-baised before, so I say if they indeed send you "a few to test" like you said, let him test it again.

 

TURBO magazine reviewed these and said they found up to 18hp on turbo cars...

 

maybe they are being bribed... HMMM?

 

The new DPSs have arrived here and they are at the post office as I had missed the delivery. I will be picking them up sometime this week.

The reason Kuwano does not know of my history with DPS is because they were dealing indirectly with us - through K&G, which was distributing DPS at the time.

 

DPS has been featured in more than one Primedia publication... the latest came out after I spoke with Evan Griffey (Editor of Turbo) on the phone regarding the scam. I am sure money is part of this new wave of promotion of the DPS.

Does this mean that all grounding kits are scams? Like Sun Automobile, Apex'i, HKS? Since really grounding doesn't gain HP? Or is it that this doesn't ground period?

 

great Thread took an hour to read the entire thing but glad i did i was looking for a DPS system but couldn't find one anywhere. what are the thoughts on the Hyper voltage system from sun automobile?

 

I was about to say the exact same thing. I am triyng to get sponsored by Sun to check out their products. I have heard alot of good things about them but after this whole DPS fiasco you never really know. If everything goes through, I will definetly post before and after dynos as well as thoughts on the function of the system but it would be great if someone with electrical knowledge could analyze it.

I wouldn't trust this thing just by looking at it. On top of that the website isn't well made, something that is this incredible should deserve some better advertising than that website.

 

There is a post of someone opening one up. All it had was an inline fuse and more wire inside.

Its a scam.
