Just installed JWT clutch & flywheel.....
Man these review posts are making me miss my old JWT setup even more
. I had the JWT flywheel and JWT Z32 clutch. This was before they made one for the Z33. It felt perfect but I started to hate the sand mixer sound (mostly @ idle) after a while. I ending up getting rid of it when my last tranny went up. The worst thing is the sound that I hated so much with my JWT is also there on my OEM setup but it's slightly quiter
. I guess I never noticed it before the upgrade.

. i can't begin to tell you how refreshing it is to read posts on this site that are both informative and grammatically correct. quick question: why did you choose the jwt over the nismo clutch?

Thanks Z BOY! Choosing the clutch........to be honest, I chose the JWT only because I was matching it to the JWT flywheel...no other reason. The JWT flywheel will work with the Nismo & is actually a couple lbs. lighter than the JWT clutch. I'm just the kind of guy that likes to match maker-to-maker when doing certain packages - silly, I know....but old habits are hard to break. From what I read, the JWT clutch has a slightly higher clamping force, but that wasn't really a factor in my choosing.

Hey, i just installed the JWT combo, buti got a few questions.
1, should i hear more of a clicking noise when i switch gears? i dont think so but im hearing a little more of a click click as im selecting gears.
2, the "cement truck" noise i olnly hear when i make a turn and get back on the gas very slightly. ne 1 have the same problem?
3, how long is it gonna take for the engagement point of the clutch to change?

1. I don't have any new click click noises. My tranny always did that when I engaged another gear so maybe the sound isn't new.
2. The Truck noise should only happen when your RPM's are 1500 and below in 2nd or higher. And never on turning.
3. The engagement point doesn't change automatically, it didn't for me. You can adjust it or have someone adjust it.
Based on the things you've noticed, i would think that something might not be installed correctly or maybe your just noticing more stuff now that its there.

Any thoughts on leaving the stock clutch in with the JWT flywheel???
I have the JWT flywheel sitting at home, and I can't decide if I should bother with the clutch or not.
A lot of people say "Might as well do it while you're in there...." but is that the only reason?
