1K to spend
I have a budget of 1K to spend on my Z. I already have done some upgrades (see my signature for what).
I also have a set of DC SS headers that have not been installed.
Here is are some of my thoughts:
Brakes (pads/lines/rotors)
Install headers
Crawford Plenum w/strut brace
Hi-Flow Cats
Y-Pipe
Bassicly, I know 1K does not go far, but what would be the best upgrades for performance between what I have listed or what you might suggest?
Thank you

Unless he's going out to track it, the stock brakes on ALL the models are just fine!
Get something to enjoy some pep around town.
Geeez.

That is a good thread. I agree on the ideas about the suspension. It made a vast difference. I got Tein Basic coilovers, Eibach sways and new wheels and tires. Right off the bat it was like WOW, this is a different car.
I think my best bet might to be sell the headers and thus get my money back and save the $300 or so to install them. Then get the Crawford Plenum/Brace, maybe a Y-Pipe and maybe the TS Flash.
I understand the comment about the brakes in that I am not going to be tracking my car. But the stock rotors do not last that long, so might as well replace them with something better when to time comes and run better pads.

I would suggest a Pulley set, or at least a crank pulley. Installation for it is only about an hour. You can even do it yourself, but you'd need at least one other person to help you.
Also, the headers, unless you would switch them for the Crawford one's, I'd say keep them and install them.

1k with install costs? My suggestion be:
crawford plenum with self install 395.
headers or cats, but install is going to be at least 350. but there is not a feasible way to get headers, exhaust and plenum with installation cost for 1000. mabe 1500.
