Default UPDATE!!!!---> 295whp N/A with TS Reflash!

Well yes sir, it happened... 295whp N/A...

For those of you who saw my previous thread, my car put 280whp N/A with almost all the go-fast parts available for N/A:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hreadid=109642

JWT Cams
JWT Flywheel
JWT Filter
NISMO Headers
Greddy EVO Dual Exhaust
Unorthodox Crank pulley
Crawford V1 Plenum
NGK Iridium Plugs
Cat pipes
EVO Throttle Body
Grounding Kit

I was going to do the Limited Spec, but after I did some serious thinking, AND AFTER I shipped the ECU, I called Brian from TS and talk to him about my concerns with the A/F ratio etc. He was just receiving my ECU when I called him!!!
So I thought F*** it! I’ll do it. I faxed him a previous Dyno run I had with A/F numbers and they did the Full Spec.
The results where:

295.2whp and 264 lbs/torque

Please notice that the graph shows at least 14whp MORE than the previous run ALL THE WAY!!!
The same happened with the torque curve, sometimes MORE in both graphs (hp and tq)

The run was made in 5th gear, in 4th gear the numbers where almost the same (1whp off).

Awesome numbers! We have close to the same parts.
I don't have the cams or flywheel, but I still am shooting for close to those numbers. Maybe my 18" wheels will make up the difference.

Thanks, the EVO throttle without the TS re-flash, will give you better throttle response, because the inner plate is much lighter than the OEM one (due to a bigger bore) but you wont take full advantage of the CFM's you are getting in there until you re-program, and the throttle doesn't open 100% if the ECU is stock.

The iridiums will give you better response also. The engine feels snappier.

I think you are missing the parts that when you put them on, you notice them immediatly. The cams alone can be good for 15whp or more, and the flywheel, maybe whp or more.

My rear wheels are almost the same hight as the OEM 17" but LIGHTER!!!

only thing I can possibly think of is swap the headers for crawfords long tube headers., or dyno with some super-light weight wheels. Maybe 16x9 aluminum with drag slicks, my set up, while probably not quite accurate, seemed to weigh about 1/2 as much as stock.

I agree with 2003z about the headers. Swap them out for Crawford or Nexus/Alphawerks.

Oh, and maybe swap the test pipes out for Nexus/Alphawerks, and a CAI may pick up 2 more hp. The reason most get the popcharger is cost vs. power. If you are really looking to get 300whp, i'd get a CAI (Injen).

No way would swapping out test pipes for a different brand make any difference. In addition I doubt the nexus headers would make any difference over the Nismos. Both flow pretty similarly.

You might get the extra 5 ponies from the crawford headers, but that is a lot of money for 5 hp.

Injen intake might give him an extra horse or two, but that would fall with in the difference between dyno pulls. IMO, get a lot of big fans running on the car, swap out the wheels and tires for some smaller, lighter ones and keep doing runs till you hit 300. Maybe throw a bag of ice on the plenum during the runs.
