Default Have you checked out the article in Sport Compact Car Mag. Oct 2002?

Has anyone read this issue yet? I am not sure if i can type it word for word legally so someone that knows, let me know how much I can copy from this article without getting into trouble.

The good part is they take an enthusist and do some big mods (considering there is not much out there right now!) on it and test it compared to stock. for example:
1. Engine: Add six hour Ziel motorsport exhaust
2. Suspension: Ft: Add ground control advanced design coil overs W/600lb/in Eiback Rear: Ground control Advance design shocks 650lb/in Eibach race springs
3. Brakes: Ft: Add 13.1 inch slotted stop tech rotors W/stoptech 4 piston fixed calipers. Rear: Stock
4. Wheels: Black racing pro N1 ft:17x8 38 offset Rear: 17x9 38 offset
5. Tires: Toyo Proxes RA-1 ft: 235/40zr17 Rear: 255/40zr17

Performance:
1/4 mi= Stock: 14.0sec Mod: 13.9
1/4 mi speed Stock 99.2 mod: 100.3
0-30= Stock 2.2sec Mod:2.2
0-60 Stock: 5.8 mod:5.8
Handling:
Slalom speed: Stock 70.2 Mod: 71.2
Laterial G's: Stock .88g Mod: .98g
Braking 60-0:
Stock: 113 Mod:119

There is interesting info on why these stats are what they are. As I said, I am not sure if I can type it word for word but as soon as someone lets me know, I will describe more if someone is interested. They only had one week to do all of this because it was loaned to them from Nissan and they had to return it as stock. A lot of the braking, suspension, and exhaust specs were low because lack of time to get it tuned correctly. for example, they did not change the camber after lowering the car and finally on the last day, thet realized the rear tires were only partially touching the road thus the poor stopping/excelleration times. Notice the improvement in the laterial G's from .88 to .98! I wonder if that is mostly suspension, tires, or lowering the car????

If You can e-mail them at spcc@neodata.com if you want a copy to read or call 1-800-767 7006. No, I have nothing to do with this mag...I just know a lot of us are hungry to know what mods will improve our performance of the 350Z. I hope this info helps.
