Default Auto Vs Manual

I was wondering if there is a whp difference between the manual Z and the Auto Z. Also me and my friend did some take off's, both stock enth, Z's his is auto and mine is manual. We raced under wet conditions and his auto Z seemed a little faster than my manual, I mean I didnt do the best launch ever but also i didint burn tires all the way to second gear. Just looking for some input.

about 4-5%

does your manual have the slightly heavier 18" wheels?

autos will always get perfect launches

I don't know, but you have a weight, number of gears, and final drive ratio advantage.

It's a driver's race then wouldn't you say? man vs machine (auto)

manual is more fun to drive though wouldn't you say?

As mentioned above, autos do give a perfect launch and its a driver's race . . . I'm, by far, not the best MT driver in the world, so it really doesn't surprise me that I'm in good company *LOL*. It's one of those 50:50 deals . . . sometimes I win by a good amount (versus other vehicles, not a 350) and sometimes, its really closer than I thought it should be . . . even with a TT.
