Default Disappointed in my Dyno Results After ECU Reflash

I went and got on the dyno today. I have an Injen SES, Kinetix V4, RT Cats, Grounding Kit and it's an 04 Touring 5AT. With these mods, I got 238.6 RWHP and 225 ft/lbs of torque. I then got the AAM ECU Reflash and the new numbers were: 241 RWHP and 233.9 ft/lbs of torque. Now, for the money I spent on the reflash I'm happy w/my torque improvement...but I'm really disappointed w/the minimal gain in hp. I'm not knocking anyone over at AAM or the company either, just venting my frustration at my car's minimal hp improvement. Any idea why the hp went up so little? I know that the car being an AT affects that, but would that alone hold the hp gains back that much?

I wouldn't necessarily be dissapointed witht the results. My guess is that you gained more in other areas throughout the rpm range and that the car really does feel a lot better to drive. Without some serious mods like headers and cams, you will not see really big improvements in that Max HP number.

I got the reflash and my car didnt take it well at first. They relfashed it again and I have yet to get it dyno'd but something doesnt feel right to me. Just have to wait till I can get it hooked up to the dyno to see how its running.

Hey i don't think that's bad at all. If you want huge power gains from bolt-ons, a good STi or evo will do the job.

EDIT: Wait a minute. Is it just me or do those AF figures look not different? 45k and up stay around the same fuel curve?

that's a very good gain in fact....remember, this is an NA car and you have very few mods...that is about as good as it usually gets

With that being said, you wouldn't feel a bump in power anywhere because it is consistantly stronger throughout.

One thing that caught my eye is that your running around 14 A/F from the beginning of the pull until around 5700 RPM's. I'd be willing to bet that you'd make a little more power with the AF at a low 13 or high 12 in that same range. I had very similar A/F when running on the motor only, and when I richened it up to right at 13, I gained a good bit of power.

Your A/F could stil use some tweaking.

Hmm...I'll talk to them about tweaking the AF Ratio then. Also, I guess instead of saying I was disappointed in the dyno results...I should have said that I'm more disappointed in the minimal hp gains after the ECU reflash...$600 is a lot of money...and I don't have much to show for it

$600 . . . I thought the AAM reflash was a bit cheaper than the Technosquare, which is $595.

They didnt tune your a/f all that much-except make u richer down low. Mine is at a perfect 13.1 from 3000-7100 with the Technosquare. Your the 2nd person Ive seen with AA ecu where Iv felt like they slacked in getting your a/f "tuned". Not flaming just my opinion. BTW-did your redline increase to 7100. Cuz the other guys dyno Ive seen they also cut it short. I know the Z doesnt make peak past 6200 but Id still like to see what it does at redline.
