Hellpp! 2004 Ecu Pin Layout
I started wiring the apex safc II today and the pins on the ecu connector don't match up to the apex diagram or my service manual diagram. Pin 62 is suppose to be ignition coil #1 (rpm wire) but there is no wire coming from pin 62 on the ecu connector. The power wire doesn't match up either. I haven't even looked to see if the others match up yet. Does anyone have a diagram for 2004 350z or has anyone wired up their 2004? I have no idea where to start. Please help.

Still having the problem? Try: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40388
Innovate! Motorsports put this together. Scroll until you see a link to a couple of "word" links. Link to the 2nd. Should show you the harness. Pin #62 is RPM Signal.

I can't open those files, I don't have microsoft word. Anyway, I don't have a pin 62. There is no wire coming from that pin. Apparently I have the only ***-retarded Z.

If you have a fax number, send it my way via "PM" and the info is on its way. With you not having a Pin #62, might be of no use, but... Can you find a yellow wire w/red stripe? That is what is suppose to be #1?

I think I have figured it out. The 2004.5 (or at least my ecu) pin layout is flip-flopped. The top row of pins on my ecu connector is the bottow row on the 2003 diagram and the 2nd row on mine is the 3rd row on the diagram and the 3rd row on mine is the 2nd row on the diagram (the 4th row on mine is the 1st on the diagram, etc.) I figured it out by making a map of what pins actually have connectors in them and compared it to the 2003 diagram. Also, (most) of the wire colors match when I flip-flopped the 2003 diagram. The only thing really different is that my ecu has more pin connectors in regard to emissions (a couple extra o2 connections or something of that nature). The only wire color that was different was the o2 bank 1 sensor 1 wire (I think it was blue with a white strip where as the service manual says yellow with black or something like that). I haven't been able to start the car up to see if it is all hooked up right (brake lines are off, no fluid in system) but with the ignition on the throttle positon display on the safcII is working properly, so that's a good sign. Will update when I start the car this week. Will also post a diagram of my ecu pin layout for anyone who has this similar problem.
