a friend of mine has a civic and he had to get a new engine.... he bought a ls, but that has nothin to do with it..... he called me up and told me that the place had a 350 motor with a turbo for sale for 2g's.... the first thing i thought was ********...... so i called him back to double check, he said yea im positive.... he gave me the number and what not,. i called the place up and spoke to the guy...... it is a motor that is imported from japan.... he said it was in some kind of a luxury car called a gloria... he said it looked like an inline six.... or just like a 350 motor....he also said that there was no computer and it would need a standalone system.... has n e one swapped a motor....... does n e one have n e info........

Yea your just asking for a head ache, tell your buddy to just get an H22A prelude engine and stuff it in there. Plus the VQ motor in a Civic wants to make me cry.

Cross breeding is not what you want.

I dunno that it would even fit.

And if it did., that would TOTALLY throw off the weight distribution of the car. Not to mention you'd need to custom fit the tranny and probably suspension.

It'd be a headache and a half.

I believe that the Gold Top Secret Z on the Super street cover a few months ago had the gloria engine it is a 3.0 L V6 which had of course lower compression for the turbo. Top Secret was putting down around 690 hP to the wheels. It had a few other things done of course but all in all it would be a cool engine swap for our Z's ( even though i love the VQ) I dont think it would be a good engine swap for a civic which i thinkis what this thread is all about. I have heard that our connecting rod is a little weak for 400+ HP but thats what forged internals are for!!!
