Question Stillen engine damper install

Question for those few who have purchased and installed the Stillen engine damper: how the heck did you tighten the #$%^&*! assembly on the end of the damper that attaches to the frame rail?

I'm not referring to the three bolts that secure the bracket to the frame rail; rather, I'm referring to the bolt and nut that pass through the damper bracket horizontally and secure the damper to the bracket. I can barely shove an allen wrench into the bolt end, but I can't fit a socket wrench on the nut. And there's no room to pivot a crescent wrench.

Any help or suggetions appreciated. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? Anyone?

When I had mine done, we completely took off the coolant bottle to make space. Made it real easy to do the install in that tight area.

CJM(phunk) did mine and they said they fought with it but had to take the bottle off to get it tightened.

yeah just remove that coolent bottle its like 1 bolt... that way you will have enough room... we had to take a long a$$ chizle thing to spread the bracket out a bit, then it slid in and we had 2 socket wrenches... i held one in place and tightend w/ the otherone

Thanks for the replies.

It's all about having the right tools, isn't it? I don't have a box wrench set but I'll go grab one...they look like they would be quite handy for several jobs.

And I'll remove than damn coolant bottle too...I almost did that before I got started because it seemed to be in the way of everything.

You can also pick up a ratcheting box end wrench. Even better. But you said it, it's all about the right tools with some of these tight spaces. Like doing the tranny install: a 3 foot extension for your ratchet makes all the difference.
