This can all be avoided by having an airbox made to cover those ITBs... that's not a big deal at all if the ITBs is out, custom box can be made and all of those ITBs will be using just one air filter... same as what euro E36 and current E46 M3 are doing. You don't even need to get a hood with a scoop at all and still, collecting cold air from the front air dam will be more than enough!
And that was what I was told by the mech. here in Melbourne... they can custom-made a CF air box for the setup!
cheers,

wow this got more response than i expected.. and i cant believe someone is in the process already of making one and almost finished... i dont see it costing less than $1000 but that would be killer.
The throttle response would be EXCEPTIONAL not to mention the music of the engine to my ears.

A new ITB should work better than the one pictured above as it will also replace the "turn adding" part that bolts to the cylinder heads. Not sure what it is called, but the part that the OEM lower plenum attaches too. Sub lower manifold?
Yes, that's the tommy kaira one. Also how far away from the cylinder heads are the butterflys going to be? The tommy ones are quiet far and as far as I know the closer they are the better the engine response.
damn! Whos got 5 grand to spend on that? Step up! whos car is that?
For the guy who knows something...whats the big secret? Why cant you tell us whos working on one? Is it another government coverup?

Until an engine is tested with the new ITBM, no one knows if it will work. Even then, it will take some fine tuning to maximize it's performance.
I have seen early prototypes, and not only does it look great, it looks like a LOT of engineering went into it's design.
Don't let the administration here hold anyone back. Tell him to contact another shop, or even a board sponsor (350EVO, CJM?). That should get some pressure on the admins and maybe will expedite the development process/help his costs/production schedule. Tell him we're all behind him, though. On a side note, anyone think $9k for those TODA ITBs is a little much?
