Because of CVT, are cams basically now plug-and-play? Can you just drop them in and not worry about having to tune them?

Are they installed yet? I'm really itching to see your dynos/impressions.

whoops, sorry guys -- forgot about the thread!

no updates as of yet, i'm going to put them in with the new engine (less costly that way) -- it probably won't be until july/august or so (need to find a block/crank/and all the little extra bits on the engine) -- probably august... just because i'm going to be down in columbus, GA until Nov, so i can leave the car @ the shop with no worries of commuting problems

armitage, as to your Q of CVT and cams, i have no idea -- i've got an '03 and tuning will be required

GQ - 8-10 weeks...you should call me

We get these in almost weekly from Japan lol

mcduck - actually all of the tomei's will work great for FI..and the higher the lift, the more peak power the cams can make (albeit higher in the rev range)

Nice thing with Tomei is they sell the cams in pairs...so you can stagger setups as well

I always thought the Tomei cams weren't good with FI. How much do these cams run. These are a bit more "hard core" than the JWT's from what I remember hearing. Is this correct and does that mean that hp/tq gains would be more significant?

?? The 268's (Tomei's most aggressive grind for now) would walk a set of JWT's and the entry level NISMO cams. As with ANY engine mod at this level, it comes down to the other components you are using (ported heads, etc etc) and most importantly, the tuning
