3.9 final drive $850
ATS Carbon LSD $1000
Test/Cat Pipes $500
Tilton Clutch/Flywheel $1000

With install should put you around 4k. Your car would be transformed. Really don't get a lot of hp, but your et will go down into the low 13's easy. Lots of other ways to go too, but those are my recommendations.

Spend on bolt on mods.

Invidia G200 Exhaust: $900
Helix HF Cat: $470
KJR Pulley: $170
Motordyne Spacer: $170
JWT Popcharger: $120
Alphawerks Header: $670
JWT Clutch/Flywheel: $810
Install: $1000? (estimate)
Total comes at about $4200. And you are looking at around.. 260rwhp. (another estimate)

Then next step could be cams and ECU reflash. They are gonna cost another $3k. (Install for Cams are a b!tch)

This will be the route I will go if I don’t go FI..+plenum & cams and JWT instead of Tilton.

i have all the bolt on's except for cams and TS ECU flash and my thoughts are

CAMS: not worth the money you pay for the gains you get i.e (socal dyno day jeff performance 262rwhpw/cams zx saintw/o cams 256rwhp)

TS ECU Flah: IMO you won't see the maximum gains from your mods w/o this.

if i had $4200 i would go with what zillinois recommended after this your car will be an ACCELERATION MONSTER!!!

tilton flywheel/clutch street
evo350 3.9 final drive
JWT intake
Crawford Plenum & Cats.

Tomei 264 cams, Injen SES exhaust, test pipes, ECU reflash with higher fuel cut off. Go with more aggresive cams if you can stand a 1000+ rpm idle. These mods have fewer drawbacks IMO then most others. A lighter flywheel, and shorter final drive will put more of the power to the wheels but they dont really make more power out of the motor, plus they have some small drawbacks. Modding the heads, cams, and tunning is where real NA power is made. That is unless you want to change the compression and do internals.

n/a modding sucks, period... I've spent well over $4k, and even though I saw decent results after every mod (I went from 218whp to 252whp before header install - I'm probably right at 260) - I wouldn't do it all over again the same way...

the only things I WOULDN'T change would be the 3.53 rear end/lsd swap and the Injen Exhaust...

^Stuff like intake, exhaust, pipes, etc. you can do yourself. But flywheel/clutch, etc. your correct.

thanks for replies. its 4k on parts, installation i can worry about. NA is a ***** wth these cars i know but thats probably all im going to put into the car besides some cosmetic things. So what would be the better way to go, bolt on mods or the final drive etc. way? keeping in mind that im probably only going to do one or the other! Thanks again

your car will feel alot more faster with the tilton clutch/flywheel & 350evo 3.9final drive than the AAM stage 3 you gotta factor in install tilton and 3.9fd intall will be around 1100 for both so thats about 3100 spent on parts and labor for tilton and 3.9 final drive how much is the stage 3 AAM??

That cost way too much. i would never put that much into this car. i would go finance a vette before i put like 15000 dollars into a 24000 car

My 350EVO 3.9 FD cost $1650 all said and done labor and parts. In all honesty the flywheel would be great but why not just do that when the stock clutch needs replacement. Get UR Pulleys ~$300, Exhaust ~$1000(installed), High Flow Cats ~$500, Headers $700(installed) Add in the FD and your looking at $4150 for everything, figure you can do the installs on some of the easier parts or if your a good enough garage mechanic (not me!) you could save $300 bucks and do the header install yourself. You should see damn near 250-255rwhp paired with the 3.9 FD your car will be a whole new beast.

heres a link to my final drive review: http://chicagoz.com/v-web/bulletin/b...pic.php?t=1617

If your staying N/A I strongly suggest this mod. I lost to an 03' Carrera 4s by 2 car lengths from 0-125mph ( the 4s quarter mile time is 13.1), My car is lightly modded in terms of power adders, the gear makes a huge difference!
