driving slowly is not a problem. With the tilton, the issue is getting the car going frm a dead stop.

So when you are under the 2500 RPMs do you get the unpleasent sound the others have spoke of with your fullstreet kit?

Also with the ATS carbon twin disc clutch what wieght flywheel do you mate with it???

the ATS comes with it's own clutch/flywheel as a unit

it weighs 26 lbs total I think for the twin disc. The flywheel is still really light. I think it weighs less than 13 lbs, forgot though. I don't think the diameter of the discs is as small as the tilton though.

the street tilton still does make that same sound below 2500 rpms

you just get used to driving at a higher rpm. If you get the 3.9 final drive, then driving at a higher rpm becomes a little easier

If I could do it all over again, I'd probably get the ATS

it just seems hard for me to pick 12 or 14 pounds over 8 pounds! even with the problems!

yeah, the tilton is quite noticable

I think the rule of thumb is for every 1 lb of rotational mass you take off, it's as if you removed 7 lbs of dead weight from the car, so that'd be roughly like 210 lbs removed from the car with the tilton give or take. Maybe I'm wrong though

I found my setup with the tilton and 3.9 final drive, that the car became much easier to drive once I got some big wide stickier tires (295 michellin PS2) Combined with the nismo LSD and all my other mods, I no longer spin out the tires around 5500 rpm's in 1st and 2nd gears anymore

Does the ACT clutch have any known sound issues??? And All I seem it find for sale is the clutch only, they sell a flywheel to go with the clutch right? Also does anyone know how much there’s weighs exactly? I know some one say under 13 but I just want to know exacts.

The street tilton is only rated to handle about 300hp and the semi-street is like double that I beleive.

I was considering switching to the JUN flywheel (because I like the thought of ChroMoly over Al) and new clutch due to mcduck's recent review, but now I'm wondering if, since I want to go FI in the long run, I should bite the bullet and go with ATS's Twin-Disc (don't think I'll ever need the Triple-disc setup) Clutch combo. It has a steel flywheel as well (i think) and looks like everyone's happy with it. Anyone know the feel of this setup? (Btw, looks like Forgedinternals.com is ready to work with customers on this thing...)

-Adam (really likes the thought of better engine response, hopefully w/o the chatter)

the ATS chatters a bit but I like the sound. I found it a little tricky to drive but not too bad. It will make noise if you let the rpm's drop in any gear.

35ounces- Why'd you switch to the JWT combo?

Ok, thanks. Sorry about the confusion.

Also, is there any difference between single-, twin-, and triple-disc clutches in terms of smoothness? Seems like it might be less smooth because of more moving parts, or perhaps more smooth because none of the parts have to work as hard individually...then again i have no idea and should wait for someone with experience to tell me about it. So, is the difference negligible?
