Default Break in period for performance clutch

how long do I need to baby/break in a new jwt clutch and flywheel?
I'm used to 500 miles on my Celica and would guess it'll be the same on the Z.
Just want to double check

Make sure you go easy for at least 500 miles on the street. 500 Freeway miles doesn't count...sorry

What does easy mean? Don't redline?
Or just no powershifting, no launching, no sidestepping?

Redline should be fine, you'll just want to stay away from the latter 3. Basically you can think of the clutch like brakes, if you beat on them right when installed, you will get a lot of hot spots, uneven wear, etc. that definately isn't conducive to a good clutch.

Cheers,

Gary

FWIW - Jim Wolf tech support told me to easy on their clutch/flywheel combo for 'a couple hundred' miles to break it in properly.

Correct....even WOT runs can ruin a new clutch. You are probably safe at 200 miles.
