Heres another thing to consider. After I adjusted mine I had a very hard time getting it into gear in the morning if the outside temp is 35* or less but after the trans warms up its fine. After adjusting it back out I dont have that problem any more but since I hate the clutch being that high I am going to deal with hard shift cold trans.

Default lOWER CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT

[B][B] I purchased my 2004 in February 2004. It was the hardest clutch to learn that I have ever had - and I've had several sticks. It seemed very 'TIGHT' foir the first 3,000 miles.
I took it in this week for the 22,500 mile service. I noted that one of the services listed to do was "adjust clutch". It seems quite a bit different now. No, they evidently are NOT self adjusting!

I did mines today [05G coupe (with a new stock clutch)]; marked it and turned 1 3/4 times to the left. Clutch pedal feels smooth, firmer, and I hope it stays that way in a long run and not loose performance.
How's everyone's doing so far? Thanks

ok well ive been doing some driving, seems like this time the pedal stays where its supposed to. however when i initially get into the car the pedal sits lower than its supposed to.. then start up and its back up.... so yeah very weird. i think im gonna remove the clutch line restrictor because its making my downshifts slower and replace my clutch line with a braided one. then use some motul clutch fluid.ill keep you guys updated

Yeah mine does that too.
It sits lower when you start the car up....but as soon as it warms up it is at your set height again.

Also, any owners with aftermarket clutch setups adjust their pedal travel? I have a Nismo clutch/flywheel, etc. But I'm afraid to adjust the pedal as the Nismo clutch likely has a different spec for pedal travel, pickup point, etc.

Anyone?

I have the JWT combo and I have had a problem with notchy shifts lately. So I have adjusted my pedal back up to spec measurements. But my clutch still grabs 3/4 of an inch off the floor(really quick) so my pedal is still high but I am guessing with the JWT fly/clutch it is just grabbing sooner than stock.

sorry if this is a repost but has anyone lowered their clutch pedal on a 350z or does it just work on the G?

I just performed this adjustment on my 06 Z and I can't believe how great the clutch feels now. I was starting to get frustrated with driving the Z until this adjustment. After I was done, I went for a short test drive that turned into a half hour drive.

I may tweak it a little more but I am 100% satisfied. It only took 2 minutes once I figured out how I was going to position myself to get to the bolt.

I would STRONGLY advise against this mod... i would advise that anyone who has done this mod undo it ASAP.

I recently took my car to Performance Nissan and had to have my clutch replaced after only 18k miles on the car... the clutch was slipping daily and it was damn near impossible to get into 5th or 6th on the fwy at times.

The only thing i could think of was this mod that would cause this. I dont drive very aggressive normally.

Just my opinion.

Just got my car back today with a new stock clutch and JWT flywheel. Feels like i have to learn how to work this clutch all over again but I'm sure as hell not gonna do this mod over again.

did they replace your clutch free? or did you haveto pay full price?
