Take my word on it... Your asking for real problems down the road.

I will not say anything more on the matter.

You really should inform everyone as to your reasoning behind this claim. Simply stating "Your asking for real problems down the road." won't help anyone unless you give information you have that lead you to this conclusion. This forum is to help others, remember.

quick question...after doing the mod i tested my CC and it worked, but is there such thing as kind of working? I never used it much so i'm not sure how quickly it should be changing speeds whether it's accel or decel...just a random question that's all...but my CC is working!

i have an 05 base model and to reduce the "free play" we have on the clutch i just adjusted the cruise bolt to lower the clutch pedal to make it even with the brake. much smoother shifts now only problem is that sometimes the pedal wont return completely so i think i just need to raise the clutch pedal a bit so the spring will do its job

I drove my buddy's Z after he performed this mod. I do like the new aggressive feeling. My question: If I have a performance clutch and pressure plate installed, will it also lower the clutches engagement point? -So my knee doesn't hit the dang steering wheel ?!?

I did this mod like a year ago. Now my Clutch is super soft and I've been trying to get it back like stock but I think it worn out. Crap.. but then I do have over 50k miles so maybe it's about that time. My cruse control has been working throughout so maybe I had had driving/clutching habits. GL to all.

If your confused about the clockwise counterclockwise just look at the fork and watch the screw going in or out.

Can i raise the clutch using this mod...as in raise it from the stock position, reason i ask is cuz my new clutch catches really low and i want the stock feeling back, so can i bring it back up without running into any trouble doing this mod but in the reverse direction ?

I did this a while ago, and after a few months the engagement point came right back to how it was (really high). I did it again, making sure I tightened it down really good, and the same thing happened. Im not going to mess with it anymore. Anyone else experience this??

I'm getting that feeling also... not back to stock height, but it feels higher than I remember (i got to school fulltime so i don't drive often).

I actually thought that my dealership put it back to stock after i took it in to get serviced... but decided that didn't sound too realistic. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Have to agree. Happened to me so I lowered it again...not sure how many times we will be able to do this.

I did this to my 06 base and it makes a huge difference in driving. No more unpredictible launches and less head bobble when shifting gears.
