Default buildup 300hp track engine instead of normal engine with standalone?

just curious if I was gonna build up an engine if I were to build up the new track model engine instead of the 287 hp engine and use a standalone to control it. Does that seem feasable or are there other issues I'm not aware of?

The new track engine should be the better engine to do standalone as you will be able to control both intake and exhaust cam timing (provided your standalone can control that). I know motec can but I dont know about any of the others.

I would say the newer engine will be the better choice as what Vandy Z says!!! Good luck with that and if you want Motec plug and play computer, give Simon at Nizpro an e-mail... www.nizpro.com.au

cheers,
