6MT final drive swap (again)
When putting the 6MT final drive gear into the 5AT car, how long should the swap take, is it a direct swap, or does it require anything complex and how much should I pay for a used part (maximum)?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Its not easy and should be done by some one thay knows rear ends . It has to be shimmed and put in ....taken back out and shimmed again....who know how many times to get it to fit just right . Your best bet is to swap out the whole rear end...not just the pumpkin and not just the final drive gear . You can pick up a rear end for $300 to $500 and do it your self

If you go to the back of your car and get down and look at your rear end . You will see a roundish plate on the back of the rear end with 8 to 10 bolts all around the out side edge of it . Thats the pumpkin...well the large set of gears inside that plate are...At least thats what Ive called it
