I'm only gonna use my system while I'm driving and the engine on...if I ever play my system while the engine it's off, it won't be for more than 3 or 4 minutes...I'm not looking for competition power, I just want enuf power to where my HIDs won't short because of my system....

The yellow tops are supposed to be able to discharge and recharge many times without affecting it's usefulness.. <-- i don't find that they deep cycle very well to be honest... The red tops have more cold cranking amps but are not deep cycle.. If you listen to your car system with the motor off a lot then, yellow top is probably better for you.. if you don't daily drive your car (aka. let it sit for days and weeks) especially in a cold climate.. the red top is probably better

I agree. Red top will work better in a colder climate due to the higher Cold craking amps. Yellow tops are good as well, but the problem that people don't realize with yellow tops are, once they are drained, it is harder and harder to recharge them. Red tops recharge much better than any yellow tops for recharging. My audio shop does not sell any yellow tops for this reason.

find a stinger, kinetik, or hawker. i would take any of the over an optima. another one to consider is a batcap 800.
