ECU Reset Pro/Cons??
We all know if you reset the ECU you can squeeze a few HP out..
We should put down why reseting the ECU is a good or bad thing, why people should do it. WHy not. ect ect ect
Nothing on search came up, just how to reset the ecu not why, if your wondering.
Why do it?
What are the benefits?
What are the Disadvantages?
Can it cause damage?

At least you won't get people asking what is a ECU reset now.

don't reset it if you want MPG, some might say don't buy this car if you want MPG
When I reset my ECU, my MPG goes from 17.8 to 16.8 average according to the computer. Can't say I notice much. IMO if someone can't afford an extra $8-9 a month for more gas, they shouldn't buy a $30k car
I wouldn't put that much faith in the nissan dealerships to actually read your ECU and come up with any real data. Those guys are idiots for the most part except for a few dealers.
I seriously doubt they would be able to tell. And besides, it has the same effect as disconnecting the battery for 10+ hours. When has that ever voided a warrenty?
If they were to give you hassle for it, just walk away and go to another dealer
