I dont know why the gear just doesnt go in as smoothly as if it was 1st through 4th gear... Like i need to push it with a bit more effort to get from 4th to 5th and 6th i just can just forget about it... If top gear says moving a gear from the corvette is like moving a victorian signal box... then moving into 6th gear in my car is just like that... I had to blip the throttle every time I change from 4th -> 5th gear... it just doesnt go in smoothly...
and from a stand still with clutch pressed in 5th and 6th doesnt change in a fluid motion!?

I had a new tranny put in about 8 months ago. The tech (a good one), said it`d be tight for awhile getting into those 2 gears (5th,6th). I`ve driven about 2000-3000 miles since then, and it has gotten a lot easier as far as pressure needed to put the shifter into the top gates. I`d say that it was 50% or more than 50% extra pressure (as compared to gears 1-4) needed back in Jan, now it`s 10-20% more push needed.

my 6th is a pain to get into, i have to like force to get it in... almost 10K on an 04
