Default Power Enterprises Update

I just thought I would post some more pics to keep everyone in suspense. When we talked with our PE rep at the PRI show last weekend, they informed us that the kit will be released late winter/early spring. They are shooting for the 400 hp mark.

Please refer to VQ's post to see my reaction. Thanks.

p.s. 400?!?!?!?!?! OMG! OMG! Any idea of how many internals they are looking at replacing?

Monkey Man,
You've gotta give us more info!

Price?, type of turbos?, bolt-on? Internal mods? 400 RWHP? This looks sweet, I can't wait!:

I need that exhaust. Can you make it happen?

its safer to lower the compression ratio if u ask me.
runnin on a high compression engine like the z's can be pretty scary i think

what is the compression of the Z, the rsx-s has 11-1, and can handle 10 psi with only ecu upgrade, anyways with 10 psi and a cai, along with exhaust the rsx-s will put down 290 whp, stock its around 165, anyways i think the Z will put out alot more power then you guys seem to think, a higher compression engine responds real well to boost provided you can keep detonation in check. I currently own a 2003 Tiburon GSR V-6 but am planning to buy a Z in a couple of months and will be looking to turbo.....i absolutely love the Z, and dont fear the compression in a way its your ally, the ignition curve is the only problem, a minor one but still a little problem, i would predict closer to 500 hp with 10 psi,

You could use a J&S Electronics Ultrasafeguard to control ignition timing and keep everything safe. I have the Maxima unit and it should work just fine on a VQ35DE. I will be sending John at J&S an ignition coil and knock sensor off the used VQ35DE I just got so he can compare the parts to those from a VQ30DE. The shop manuals indicate that they all are the same test values so it chould be cool!

As time progresses and the turbos become more advanced, I bet one on these companys are going to find a way to make the engine able to handle the high boost.

Lets hope so...

Options like internals are going to be several thousand to have done plus the turbo. For those who are looking for under 500bhp on stock internals devices like the Safeguard are great! ECU tuning is an option but it may be a while before the code is opened, and who wants a genaric ignition timing program for their vehicle. The genaric JWT ECU programs for supercharged Maximas are WAY soft on ignition timing (for safety sake) and they show a substuntial torque weakness, hopefully some one can do it better for the VQ35's. Custom engine control is the best option but the hardware for this is usually over 1k plus install cost.

IMHO, Boost + FMU + Safeguard is all you should really need to get up to about reliable 500bhp out of a VQ. It would be nice to know the flow ratings of the 350Z injecotors.

There is no way a stock rsx-s is gonna run 10 pounds and last a season. Im sorry, i just wont believe that. The compression is wayyyy high on that car, just like mine. Not a good idea!

What advances have been made to turbos that allow the engine to handle their higher boost???
They can start by lowering the compression on the 350Z.
