Default To change throwout bearing or not??

I'm about to install my new JWT clutch and flywheel, should I just spend the extra 20 dollars and get the OE throwout bearing?? I have about 31k on my clutch. Also changing the bearing is easy once the clutch and flywheel is off right? I just don't want the shop to shaft me by saying its extra labor.

I'm sure the JWT kit uses the OE bearing.

the release bearing is easy to switch... shouldnt be more then $10-15 more.. but should be included with the labor for the clutch!

you will want to change the pilot bushing for sure... as well as release bearing if you have more then 30k onthe car...

Clutch - L3503-NC000
Flywheel - L3503-NF000

Isn't it suppose to come with an alignment tool?

I didn't get a tool or the bearing with mine. I did replace my throw-out bearing though....and this one is noisier than the original one I replaced.

Chris - regardless of how many miles, when you do a new clutch you ALWAYS replace both!

no... there is no specific alignment tool for the 350z... but any standard nissan one will work... but you dont really need it the way the tranny goes on or with most of the clutches that use the OE flywheel or one with the clutch stud mounting points...

well...do you want to risk pulling your transmission 2 x because you did not feel like changing a $50 bearing?

Is the release bearing and the throw out bearing the same thing? I'm just confused because performance nissan lists an "OEM throw out bearing" and in this thread Jason refers to a "release bearing". Also, why don't I see the pilot bushing on the website?

TIA.
