For example, on the LX470 we have, the DVD navigation w/ voice command and DVD changer from the factory, is an option that aftermarket just can't compare with.
Also, many people tend to buy the cheapest version of a car just so they can get that specific vehicle because they can't afford the same vehicle w/ options (I'm not saying anyone here in particular). IMO that's stupid because you can usually buy a cheaper vehicle that is loaded for the same price as the slightly more expensive base vehicle that is stripped, yet the cheaper base-price vehicle w/ options will usually be nicer.

Right. And the Touring model is strictly for the boulevard cruisers.

Seems like you're turning this into a touring, etc. vs. base argument. This has been many times before; no need to repeat it now.

Obviously, everyone is going to buy whatever suits their needs. I got a base, as I'm swapping out a whole lot of stuff, and TCS & VDC, for all their wizardry, certainly cannot compensate for a lack of common sense and are not magic (as one of our peers who smashed up his Z in light snow learned).

To each his own and let's leave it at that. Before it gets ugly.

I only bought the Track because its top of the line type of deal and will be easier to sell in the future.

Or... the people who can't afford the top of the line models have to poke at the people who can afford them and devalue the experience of purchasing the higher end models.

Whatever it is, you get yours, and i'll get mine.
