Voiding your Warantee
I just recently bought an 05' Z and am looking to mod it (possibly high flow cats, exhaust, headers ect). I was wondering what exactly Nissan's policy on voiding your warantee is. I did buy the extended warantee, and do not want to void it, so what exactly can I do to my Z without losing my warantee?

Nissan cannot void your warranty unless the performance part caused the specific problem. So lets say...you buy a pop charger, and your transmission goes out. Nissan still has to cover your transmission since there is no way in hell, a intake filter can do that. Hope that helps.
stick em up - this is a thread heist...
how about autocrossing / endurocrossing / trackdays etc.... anyone ask if that can affect the warranty (i also ponied up for the 100k miler)
[not that i'm TELLING the service people but just in general....]
& will also have it towed off the track before reporting anything broke...
yep - must have tossed a piston rod in the wendys drive thru....
thanks!

[QUOTE]If that is true, then why do I read about how any coilover suspension will void your warantee, or any FI over a certain amount of boost?
all suspension products for the Z will viod your warranty except for the Nismo S-tune coil overs and sway bars. as far as FI goes, i know if u get the stillen supercharger, they have 3 year warranty on the supercharger only. thats only if u get the standard pulley. if u get the high boost one then they wont give a warranty. besides all FI mods will viod ur engine warranty.

"I just installed a greddy TT kit on my car...I'm boosting 7 PSI...I just blew a piston...can you replace it for me since I have warranty?"
I don't think that would sit to well with any dealership.

I beg to differ, any vehicle can have aftermarket parts, as long as it doesn't damage the components which it came with. And even so, the dealer has to put it in writing that said parts are what caused the damage.
See; Magneson-Moss Act of 1975. I don't know much about engine, but a suspension wouldn't damage a vehicle unless you're lowriding.
