Default Question on a smell from engine

Ok ive driven a camaro for 3 years and just recently got my 350z 2 weeks... ok im a big street race fanatic... anyways last night i grinded 2nd in a race from my foot slipping off clutch on a speed shift and i know what clutch smells like when uve grinded them or burning ur clutch... my question is, that was almost 16 hours ago and i smelled it today when i was just doing my usual daily driving, no hard shifting, no launches or dropped clutch takeoffs... im just curious did i screw something up MORE then just a burning clutch on the shift... could it be tranny? could it be just a longer lasting effect... whatever suggestion or comments are welcome, thanks *btw still runs just as smooth and pulls just the same, no lag or idle changes... just the damn smell that wont go away*

I still think it is your clutch, when the Z is brand new it takes a while to break in the clutch soo.. smell might be from riding it or somthing. Does it smell like burining plastic?
