Default Axle Question

I have a question. I am planning on getting some drag radials to put on my car on occasion. My car should soon be running around 600whp and i was wondering if a new axle is needed? I have a fealing it is so if thats the case would the level 2 real axle be sufficient or would i need to go with the level 5 rear axle? Thanks

Axle upgrade....yes. If you want to worry a little go with the Stage 2's. If you want to feel safe then go Stage 5's. Most of the stockers seem to shear clean in half mid way through the axle shaft itself. The CV joints themselves seem to be able to handle the power.

If you are hitting 1.6 60ft times with slicks, then I would say get the level 5's. IF you are like most of us, running drag radials, and laying down 1.7-2.0 times, then Level2 axles should be sufficient. I am running Level 2's on my personal car in the mid 600whp range.

We are warehouse dealer of Drive Shaft Shop product....so let me know if you need anything.
