Oil Pressure at idle?
Just brought my Z in for it's first oil change yesterday. Previously, oil pressure at idle was around 60, maybe slightly less. After getting it back yesetrday, pressure is a bit less than 30 at idle and is much more variable through the rev range. It seems like it is right now, but just want to make sure.
Thanks guys!

With the oil that came in my car I was at 15psi. I changed the oil to Castrol 10w-30 and have seen a slight rise in pressure. Maybe 17 at idle or one needle width above the center 15psi mark. I get 60 psi on the road at 70mph in 6th.

Oil pressure in the Z seems to be a crap shoot.
I've gone back and fourth between oils just to see what my guage will read!!!
The "dealer" oil (30w) runs about 10PSI lower then FS 10w-40 @ operating temp.
The service manual states like 10 psi @ idle, and 60 PSI @ 6000 RPM.
HOWEVER, many people on the forums have seen oil pressures in excess of 80PSI @ 6k RPM. (Me included.)
This is my one major concern with the engine. To tell you the truth I don't know what oil pressures of this level could/would do to the engine. And that is why I'm concerned... cause I just don't know what damage it will/may cause.

I have the turbonetics kit. when my engine is completely warm, my idle is @900rpms (< due to reflash) and my oil pressure is right at 40psi. while driving, when at 3000rpms my oil pressure is right at 60psi. i use mobil 1 full sythetic 5w-30. takes like 10 to 15 minutes to completly warm up. Depends on whether i warm it up a bit then drive or just let it run for about 15 min before driving it.
