idle raised after spark plugs
Need help guys
I've put in some Denso Iridium IKH20 spark plugs a while ago and also cleaned the throttle body a bit with a towel (no chemicals used). My Idle rpm then went up to 900~1000 now and the SES light came on. Checked with a code reader and it says "rpm too high". Tried resetting the light numerous time but it still come back on.
I also tried the idle volume learning procedure on TS website /Service manual but it didn't work (went back to 1k rpm) after i restart the engine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I had the same problem when I installed ZEX plugs. my car used to idle at 900-950.
I just recieved the car today from the dealer after doing a service and complaining about the raised idle. They have a special tools to take car of your idle. Now my car idles at 700.

That doesn't make any sense. I have swapped to iridium plugs in several vehicles, and none had any issues with the idle speed. Are you sure you didn't break anything or leave something disconnected, like a vacuum line, when you did the plugs? Did you unplug the MAF when you pulled the intake tube to clean the TP?

same case here.
I think all the my valcumn lines are fine, I also did disconnect the tube and MAF when i clean the throttle body...i only clean out the dirt (like black powder) around the TB with a towel and that was it.
Now the car sometimes idle at 800~ more close to the 750 line
and sometimes idle below the 1k line
