At least it would take driving skill out of the equation.
Better yet, you could even run from a roll in 3rd or 4th against your own time to a specified distance or speed...
What do you guys think?....

And I don't mean the aFE kind of proof... I'd want same day, same car, same conditions, the only difference being the mod. However, I can understand where some may want tangible e.t. and trap speed improvements.
Same car, same day, same dyno, same engine coolant temperatures and everything else. Install it while on the dyno and pull again. 15+ HP at ~4300 RPM. With significant gains above and below. The peak HP will be down about 2.5 HP from the stock peak and will roll off ~9 HP from 6500 to 7000 RPM.
With the mod installed, across the board 2K-7K, the total net will be a significant increase. From 2K to the peak HP RPM (~6300 RPM), area under the curve will be substantially increased.
Injen CAI's and exhaust mods can change the shape of the gain curve a little.
I would like to allow for a dyno to dyno variability % correction factor. Dynos all across the country can vary widely in the numbers they produce.
All the stock revup engines I've seen on the same dynapack come in at about 270HP with only a little variation. (these REVUP engines are dynoing very consistantly when done on the same machine) So I have faith that all stock REVUP engines will be pretty much the same no matter where its done.
If you do your pulls on say a Mustang dyno and see a baseline of 255 peak HP in the stock configuration, expect the gains made by the mod to ratio accordingly. (255HP/270HP)*15+HP = 14.166+ HP.
Conversely, the same correction factor applies the other way. If you are on a dyno that shows 280 baseline. The minimum gain will be 15.555+ HP.
And remember this.... the first time you see this mod, you will be quite surprised.
At first glance you will be ???
Then a moment later you will be !!!!
Everyone else has!
An independant dyno will soon be performed by well known members of this board!

I'll be at SEMA as well.
Let me know if you would like to get this dyno done before then. I am good friends with a few writers for Sport Compact Car, so if you think this is worthy of magazine coverage, I can contact them to verify the #'s.
Thanks,

sorry if i'm asking a redundant question, i've been following this thread loosely and probably skimmed over the answer but...
how much will this mod cost and how difficult will it be to install? also, will this in any way void warranty?

This setup is made of a lot more metal than just a spacer. But installation will be just as easy as installation of the Copper Iso Thermal plenum spacer system.
Void warranty?... technically any modification can be argued by a dealership that it voids warranty. It is predominantly up to your dealership tech manager. How mod friendly is your dealership?

not sure what you mean......since the throttle body is a cylinder...and the intake is a cylinder..i dont think you can make a "throttle body spacer".....
however i was thinking....what if it's some sort of new manifold like the KinetiX SSV? maybe a split design with runners going to each side of the block.....i dunno just a thought
