Tein Flex Damps and EDFC arrive...oh the humanity. (pics)
thanks goes out to monkeyman (jeremy). please contact him for pricing and avaliablilty. i have the first set in the states to go through the retail pipeline. the next one comes in late jan.
they just got in this afternoon, and all i did was make sure everything was included. i will not be installing the pieces until maybe next weekend. this is because:
1) my car is going to get the nismo kit finally put on (along with repainting of all the plastic pieces on my car, to match). the shop sprayed my gas cap with the latest color and it looks absolutely awesome. now only my bumpers look too light. DB owners will know what i am talking about.
and 2) i am waiting to hear the results from a possible suspension problem from the factory. this should all get squared away soon.
in the meantime, i think i will run the wires, etc. for the EDFC controller.

If I get a Z, this would be a very interesting suspension, if only for the gizmo that is the EDFC. Definitely let us know how that works, and ride from the soft side to the hard side in comparison with stock.
Awesome. Nice looking setup. I have been waiting for someone to install this setup. Its what I want to get (once x-mas is paid for). Please let us know how the install goes, and if there are any fitment issues.
My concern is the fitment of the EDFC actuators. Do they attach to the top of the shocks? If so, how do they get around the shock tower braces? If not, can you let us know how they mount?
Are you doing the install yourself? If so take lots of pics for us. I have to live vicariously through others until my credit card stops smoking from our holiday binge. This is as close as I will get to that suspension for a while.
TIA

i will be doing it myself.
as for the edfc stepping motors... the fit on top of the struts. in the front, the upper mounts are inverted so the motor fits fine. this can be seen on the greddy sema car.
as for the rears, well... the motor is still on top, but the mount does not get bolted down by the top. you actually use nuts on the bottom side to secure it.
according to the website, i need to drill a hole in each side of the rear strut brace, so the wiring can reach inside the car. i am not too worried about this since the mount itself will seal the opening...
its hard to explain without pics... i will take pics when i install them.
