Default Unorthodox pulley....really worth it????

Alright guys, I already did a search but didn't really find what I was looking for.....I'm thinking about buying the Unorthodox pulley and was wondering if the gain in HP/torque was worth the cost. To you guys that have them, was it worth it?? Can you FEEL a difference with it on or what??? Anyways, any advice would help. Also I want to install it myself, is this a big deal? I already put on the groudning kit and I am fairly experienced with tools and such. THX Again!

I didn't feel any noticable power gain. But did notice better throttle response.

Improves low end power and the car whines out faster. It was a great mod for the money.

Its worth it for the improvement in throttle response alone.

do they need to lift out the engine to replace it?
installation would be expensive if so...

I'm about to get my KJR. I went with this one because you can use the stock belts.
170.00 is not bad either.

Does the KJR make as much of a difference as the Unorthodox pulley?? Anybody got a comparison or something with the two?? Thanks again!

u gain a little bit of power but it frees up a lot of weight.. rotational mass that is* and that will help the motor rev faster which is important.. i just ordered mine and i know it will make a difference.. compare the stock crank pulley to the UD.. a lot lighter.

UR pulley weighs little over 1 pound, kjr weighs a little over 2 pounds. stock weighs about 6 pounds. for every pound lost, its about 2whp gain.you do the math. UR all the way.

I've never held a UR pulley in my and but my KJR pulley weighs 2.020 lbs. From what I have read, the UR weighs around 1.6lbs but like said above needs new belts. Stock pulley weighs 6.43 lbs
dynos can be found at www.kjrperformance.com
Sold in Black and Billet

the pully bein "lighter" will mess with your harmonic balance. this pretty much means that your car will run real rough at idle only. Also all these aftermarket pully's will make your belts sqeal like crazy unless you get goodyear gaterbacks ,I think. but if you are tryin to get all the power outta yourmotor as possible then do it but it should be one of your last mods.also, try to get your crank re-balanced after.hope this helps
