mine NEVER went into 1st easily unless i've been completely stopped. the tranny seems to behave correctly in every other way. after i figured that out, i simply don't use 1st unless i'm coming from a dead stop. you apparently have something quite the opposite, which may indicate anything from the jwt clutch to synchro problems(?)

notice i said "sitting at a stoplight"? i never shift into first while moving. fortunately, my dealer installed my clutch, so if it gets worse, its on them.

doubt it's clutch related.. more like tranny or fluid being cooled.

i also notice if i blip the throttle, it seems to shift into first more easily. also, it doesn't seem to be internal or ambient temp related.

Sometimes I have to slap it into second pretty hard, but not first.

I seem to be blipping more and more to ensure a smooth shift...definitely helps the synchros out. I find it hard to believe we have triple cones on 2nd sometimes.

Hmm that sounds strange. I have the JWT flywheel/clutch combo and the 1st-neutral shifts at a stoplight are fine with me.

Could be the cold. Does it do it once the car is warm? What kind of gear oil are you using in the tranny?

its always been harder to shift when cold, but lately its just the shift to first from neutral well after things have warmed up. i have been using factory gear oil.
