Question about the HR ECU setup, I have an HR swap build I am doing, FWD, but I have yet to get to the electronics.. I have done some research and a few people have done the factory ECU setup and get it to run well without most of the car and control units. I have a 08 Z ECU, engine harness and all, ( have not hacked it up yet or done anything with it yet) but i have been looking into what is needed to make it work on its own. the BCM is the Body control module correct? I was going to get a Racepak cluster if it could be made to work with that setup, otherwise i was probably going to try to get a stock Z HR cluster to work if possible... Again, its months down the road before I get there but any help on this topic is always a plus. Thanks!

Looks like I can have the 07 HR ECU flashed by Z-Fever, to get rid of the NATS (and any other code), which will eliminate the need for the BCM. Basically, they can set it up so that I just need to hook up the basics.. Good stuff!

I actually just wire my fans to run constantly when the engine is running.. A/C and tach are controlled by a custom board that I have made.

Tell me more tell me more!

I thought I heard of someone flashing the ECU to do this before but was not sure. I would love to be able to run the ECU on its own without any of the other crap... that would be great... Fans, I would just run with a thermostatic switch
