if he got 242rwhp STOCK and i GOT 238rwhp with mods my car was is slower...if he had my mods he would have 250+rwhp an at 21% drivetrain loss that would bearound 320 flyweel hp!!!

How he could he get more stock, does all of those outside mod factors count that much (temp, presure, humidity)?

as long as you use the same procedure each time you dyno. whats important is the gains per upgrade! Can't wait to recheck mine!

i would really like to get a few runs in with the people who are dynoing in the 230 hp range. i dynoed my car at dynapack chasi dyno and got 264 RWHP stock. granted the dynapack reads 8-10 hp higher. that still means im putting down around 254 RWHP. so if anyone in the southern cali area wants to line up and do a few "testes" , id like to offer them the opportunity.

By the way, do you guys know that Dynojet supplies the dyno software off their web site (http://www.dynojet.com/asoft.shtml) and if you get the files from your dyno operator, you can make these plots all day? You can re-draw them at closer zoom, plot different curves against each other, etc.

A thought occurred while driving home.

Perhaps its the wheels making the difference. If that dyno that measures at the hub makes more hp, then my 18lb. enkei's (or track wheels for that matter) would have to indicate more hp than the heavier performance rims.

Any opinions?

Absolutely. Your entire driveline is part of the "driveline loss" component of the measurement. Lighter wheels, driveshaft, different rear gears, fewer engine accessories - all will reduce that loss. You're not gaining engine HP of course, but it's the HP that gets to the ground that counts anyway.
